Getting Started

When you create an account, please use accurate information and keep your login secure. We may accept or refuse service to anyone at our discretion. One account per person - no automated account creation. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, so let us know immediately if someone gains unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, and may block email and IP addresses to prevent re-registration. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Your Content

Your work remains yours. When you use AI Curriculum Designer, you're granting us permission to store, display, and process your content so the service can function properly. Content you upload, including PDFs, documents, and other educational materials, is persistently stored in our cloud infrastructure. Learning goals, clustering results, and other extracted data are retained to provide continuous service. We may also analyze usage patterns for research, service improvement, educational advancement, and any related purposes necessary for operating and improving the platform. Results of such research would be anonymized unless you request otherwise. Content in shared group spaces may be visible to other group participants. Everything you share must be your own work or something you have permission to use. We don't pre-screen content and aren't responsible for its accuracy. We can remove content or delete accounts at any time, with or without notice, in our sole discretion. By using AI Curriculum Designer, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, perform, and create derivative works of your content solely to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service, including allowing our service providers to do this on our behalf.

How the Service Works

AI Curriculum Designer combines our platform with various technologies including AI assistants (such as OpenAI), storage services (including Firebase and Google Cloud Storage), machine learning models (such as Sentence Transformers), and other tools. The service operates across multiple domains and uses content delivery networks that may collect IP addresses for performance. Here's what you need to know:

  • AI features use experimental technology that may produce incorrect, biased, or inappropriate content (sometimes called "hallucinations")
  • AI is a tool for assistance - always verify important information independently
  • Never rely on AI output for important educational decisions or anything with real-world consequences
  • Content processed by AI services may be used by those providers according to their policies
  • Extracted learning goals, clustering results, and analysis data are persistently stored for service continuity
  • The service may have maintenance, outages, or changes without notice
  • We may set storage, usage, or rate limits at our discretion
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of all your data - we provide no guarantees about data preservation, recovery, or availability
  • We may retain or delete data at any time without notice for any reason, at our sole discretion

We provide everything "as is" and "as available" - technology isn't perfect. Keep your own copies of important work. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.

From time to time, we may offer beta or experimental features so you can try new ideas. These may change or be removed, can be less reliable, and come with additional limitations of liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Using the Service Responsibly

By using our service, you agree to:

  • Follow all applicable laws and your institution's policies, including academic integrity rules
  • Be respectful and honest in your use of the platform
  • Not misuse the service, including but not limited to: violating others' rights, spreading malware, harassing anyone, attempting to breach security, reverse engineering our technology, creating fake accounts, exceeding usage limits, using our name without permission, impersonating others, generating misleading content, recording/sharing other users' information without consent, scraping or harvesting data, running automated monitoring or load tests, circumventing rate limits or access controls, publishing benchmarks, conducting competitive analysis, framing our pages, spamming, reselling access, or sharing credentials
  • Not disclose, share, transfer, reproduce, or make available any concepts, technologies, or intellectual property from AI Curriculum Designer to any third party, including in business arrangements, professional activities, consulting, collaborative efforts, or advisory roles, without our prior written consent
  • Be 18+ or have parental permission
  • Maintain your own backups of important work
  • Understand we're a technology provider - your institution makes all educational decisions

We don't verify academic integrity, originality, or make educational evaluations. Those responsibilities remain with your institution.

Helping Us Improve

We love feedback! When you share suggestions, report bugs, or provide ideas, you're helping make AI Curriculum Designer better for everyone. Any feedback you provide becomes our property and we can use it without compensation or attribution.

The Legal Stuff

While we hope everything goes smoothly, we need to be clear about responsibilities:

Our Platform: AI Curriculum Designer and its entire contents, features, functionality, and technology are owned by the Operator and protected by intellectual property laws. We may terminate repeat infringers at our discretion. AI-generated outputs may not be eligible for copyright protection. Users are responsible for determining ownership and appropriate use of AI-generated content.

Service Terms: The service is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non‑infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, or non‑misappropriation. No refunds are provided for any reason. We may monitor usage and collect analytics but aren't required to. We can transfer our rights under this agreement; you cannot without our written consent.

Liability Limits: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the lesser of what you've paid us in the prior 12 months or $100. We aren't responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, or for loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or educational impacts, even if advised of the possibility. These limits apply to any theory of liability and to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Your Protection of Us: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of AI Curriculum Designer, your content, or violations of these terms. If you sue us and lose, you pay our legal costs.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in Massachusetts (Boston) under AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules, excluding Massachusetts conflict‑of‑laws rules. No class actions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small‑claims court. We may seek injunctive relief in court to protect our intellectual property or prevent abuse of the service. Arbitration proceedings and awards are confidential. Claims must be brought within one year. The arbitrator's decision is final. These terms are governed by Massachusetts law, excluding its conflict‑of‑laws rules.

Additional Protections: We're not liable for circumstances beyond our control. You're responsible for export law compliance. If any term is invalid, the rest remain effective. This is our entire agreement. Key terms about liability, indemnification, and intellectual property survive termination. No third parties have rights under this agreement. Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our rights.

Force Majeure: We're not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, cyber attacks, infrastructure failures, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
